The Chilean dj and producer Paula Tape is best known for her intricate knowledge of balearic sounds whilst also mastering the skill of working-up dancefloors across the globe with her distinct style and extensive sets which cross the bridge between underground floor-fillers and indefinable synth house sounds.
Growing up in Santiago De Chile, before moving to Europe, she started her musical journey by playing drums for multiple indie bands in her hometown which then sparked her dj inclination for polyrhythmic patterns.
The percussive sounds of the drums are a distinct sound which she’s brought into her own productions, remixes and are a key feature of when she plays out dj sets across the globe. This has opened the door to her distinct sound, becoming recognized across the globe from key selectors, tastemakers and fans alike.
